Action Required

1. Confine the fire and smoke by closing all doors and windows in the immediate fire area, if safe to do so.
2. Evacuate staff, students and others from the building in an orderly fashion using the predetermined escape routes.
3. Enact special procedures for non-ambulatory students.
4. If the escape route is blocked, use an alternate route.
5. Do not use elevators. Use stairways.
6. Remain calm, proceed to designated meeting area outside.
7. Do not allow re-entry into the building.
8. After assembled outside, attendance must be taken and communicate any missing staff, students or others and injuries to the Principal/Supervisor or designate.
9. Meet emergency personnel.
10. Notify Emergency Response Team.

12. Do not return until it is declared safe to do so by a Fire Official.
13. Document the incident.
