Evacuation

Action Required

1. Bring class lists.
2. Check attendance before the evacuation.
3. Enact special procedures for non-ambulatory students.
4. Have students walk in pairs.
5. If walking to an alternate side, position three staff at the front of the line. Two of these staff will act as crossing guards at intersections. Position two staff at the end of the line.
6. Supervise students in transit via walking or bussing to the alternate evacuation site, maintaining calm, orderly behaviour.
7. Take attendance at the alternate evacuation site.
8. Report any missing students to Administrator/Designate.
9. Record time of pick up by parent/guardian on the class list.
10. Ensure that all students leave with a Parent/Guardian.
